Zeynep joined Merge Architects in 2019. She received her Master of Architecture from Cornell University where she was awarded the Helen Fagan Tyler Graduate Fellowship. While attending Cornell her territory of investigation was Architecture and Discourse, including study of architectural theory alongside translative tools and fabrication methods. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Istanbul Technical University where she received several national awards for her academic works.
Prior to joining Merge, Zeynep worked with Openact Architecture where she participated in large scale urban projects as well as international competitions such as Europan.
Zeynep is primarily interested in everyday life in contemporary urban settings and shared in-between spaces.
