Matt joined Merge in 2022. He is a registered architect with over ten years of experience in the field, from residential and small scale commercial work to university and institutional projects.
Prior to joining Merge, Matt was a Project Architect at 3six0 Architecture, where he managed the design and construction of the Brown University Nelson for Entrepreneurship and oversaw the design of Community MusicWorks, a performance and education center for students from marginalized communities.
He holds a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where he won the Wilbur E. Yodur Award for Excellence in the Study of Architectural Technology. At RISD he served as the Site Operations Coordinator for the school’s Solar Decathlon Team, which designed and built the first ever solar-powered passive house with a textile enclosure.
Before graduate school he worked as a community organizer, print shop account manager, and Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.
