Merge’s Middlesex Lounge and Filter Loft have been published in the January 2006 awards issue of Architecture Boston Magazine 2005: The Year in Review. Middlesex Lounge is a bar in Cambridge, MA that transforms into a high-energy dance club on weekends through the rearrangement of custom, mobile modular benches and tables. Filter Loft uses a series of translucent screens and operable partitions to create soft boundaries between its interior spaces and urban setting of downtown Boston, Massachusetts.
