• description: A steel-framed canopy and screen wall clad in wood slats of varying widths define the boundaries of the Viveiros Roof on an industrial loft building in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. A custom concrete and ipe grill island is ringed with areas of built-in seating, wood decking, loose gravel and grassy surfaces, creating a variety of environments for lounging and entertaining. The steel canopy is part of a series of fabrication studies that are manifest in this project and in the Woven Wall and Curry Roof Decks.
