• bio:
  Daniel Kwon joined MERGE Architects in June 2019. Daniel received his B.A. in Architecture at the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley and his M.Arch from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
  
  Influenced by travel abroad studios to both Tokyo and London, his interests and concerns regarding architecture and the city hybridized to form the premise for his graduate thesis. Titled "Elevate," the thesis examines the varying relationships between architectural syntax and existing built contexts, through research of form, typology and program.
  
  Before joining MERGE, Daniel worked at firms such as SOM, Woodsbagot, and ELA Architects in San Francisco working on projects ranging from large urban scale developments to smaller residential housing projects.
